The Autism Mental Status Exam (AMSE; Grodberg et al, 2011) is available for free download for clinical, scientific, and educational purposes and not for commercial use.  Development of the AMSE is an ongoing process.  As new psychometric data emerges, the AMSE and its scoring mechanism may be revised. Any revisions will be posted to this website.  The AMSE cannot independently diagnose people with autism.  The AMSE is intended to be used by health care professionals only.  If you are concerned that you, or a friend or relative, have an autism spectrum disorder, please discuss these concerns with your family doctor or contact the Seaver Autism Center.  Terms and Conditions:  The AMSE is a copyrighted instrument, and use of the AMSE must follow these guidelines: 1) Reprints or reproductions of the AMSE must include the copyright at the bottom (© 2011 The Icahn School of Medicine at Mt.
